Can we talk about the underrated side of sketch without making it complicated
I started this because my busy month felt a little stuck, and sketch seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. sketch got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Good reminder that boring can be good. This is more useful on a tired first week than on a perfect day. This makes me want to start a weekend project.

I am skeptical. The idea sounds good, but the maintenance cost is real. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I would push back gently on the without part. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Useful intention, poor execution. I would love to see a follow-up after 4 weeks. Great use of light and restraint.

I do not have a strong take, but the making detail is useful. A little friction removed goes a long way.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. I noticed the same thing in Mexico City.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. That is where the boring checklist helps.

This made me smile more than expected. The Kuala Lumpur example makes it feel concrete.

Useful intention, poor execution. This pairs weirdly well with arepas.

The vibe here is immaculate. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. My only addition is to make the first step visible.
