The surprising joy of doing the conversation badly at first before coffee

I tried this in Cape Town with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

The detail that surprised me was how much a tiny balcony changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Love the tiny experiment energy. The surprising part is easy to underestimate.

Honestly, great taste. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the library.

I wish more posts had this much context. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

This made me smile more than expected. I noticed the same thing in Cairo.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. That is where the boring checklist helps. The texture and mood are lovely.

Anecdote beats theory here.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I keep a note about repairs for exactly this reason.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. This pairs weirdly well with falafel.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good.

@dev_mango This is the kind of disagreement I like.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. The awkward part is easy to underestimate.
