How do you stay consistent when jobs gets boring without fancy tools?

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Careers feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I started this because my late summer felt a little stuck, and resume seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Run the numbers on a normal month and a bad month. If the plan only works in the normal month, it is probably too fragile. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Ask for the total compensation, growth path and manager expectations. Salary matters, but so does the environment you will live in daily. I am curious whether resume still feels good next month.
