What I wish I knew before trying passwords after a tiny failure

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where infosec stopped feeling new.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the playlist for a while.

Great point, especially the part about tiny. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Good reminder that boring can be good. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

This has cozy competence written all over it. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether trying stayed easy. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. I learned that one the expensive way.
