The cozy joy of doing the conversation badly at first before coffee
I started this because my late summer felt a little stuck, and beans seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
The detail that surprised me was how much a coworking table changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. The Lisbon example makes it feel concrete.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The winter version is even more interesting. This is the kind of thing that tastes better the next day.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The social part surprised me too.

The best answer in the thread, honestly.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

@amelia-45 I would pin this if I could.

Honestly, great taste. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. A little friction removed goes a long way. A squeeze of lemon would probably wake it up.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen.
