My 6-month experiment with stories with an ambitious constraint

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the prototype for a while.

This is one of those ideas that looks great online and falls apart on Tuesday. That is where the boring checklist helps. Small progress still counts.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. The chaotic constraint is probably the real story.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. The my desk detail changes the whole answer.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink constraint. I would write it down before changing anything else.

@in_river95 That made the concept click.

Good reminder that boring can be good. I noticed the same thing in Madrid. Glad you shared the messy version too.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Fair pushback.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. My friend tried it in Seoul and had the opposite result.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I learned that one the expensive way.
