Today I Learned · by Maksym Bondar · 2026-09-26

Morse code made me rethink a small assumption

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where science stopped feeling new.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the practice run for a while.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Today I Learned feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

That would annoy me more than it helped. I would test it for 5 days before deciding.

I am stealing that phrase.

The rethink angle is what sold me. The late summer version is even more interesting.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. I am curious whether science still feels good next month.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. The social part surprised me too.

I would love a follow-up example.
