What rockets looks like when you stop optimizing everything on a budget

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where telescopes stopped feeling new.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. rockets got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 8 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? The 8-minute rule is underrated. The scale of it still melts my brain a little.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. A little friction removed goes a long way. The uncertainty is part of what makes it interesting.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.
