I disagree a bit. before matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day. The texture and mood are lovely.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? The a trailhead detail changes the whole answer.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink before. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Love the tiny experiment energy. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a trailhead. This makes me want to start a weekend project.

This is adorable and oddly motivating.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. This is more useful on a tired rainy evening than on a perfect day.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony. Process photos would be fun to see.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Great point, especially the part about before. For me it came down to the prototype.

My version of this was messier, but the conclusion was similar. The a tiny balcony detail changes the whole answer.
