A gentle rant about planets and expectations without making it complicated

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

The detail that surprised me was how much my desk changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where telescopes stopped feeling new.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

@solar_lantern95 I would pin this if I could.

Honestly, great taste. I learned that one the expensive way.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the train station.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. This pairs weirdly well with pierogi. This would be a great classroom example.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

@in_panda That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Could be regional too.

@tiny_panda87 This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about without.
