Notes from a very normal Monday morning with Drawing in real life
I started this because my winter felt a little stuck, and illustration seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
The detail that surprised me was how much a trailhead changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where sketch stopped feeling new.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the corner shop.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a neighborhood park.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. The a family dinner detail changes the whole answer.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. I learned that one the expensive way.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink normal. My friend tried it in Istanbul and had the opposite result. The small imperfections make it feel human.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. This is more useful on a tired first week than on a perfect day.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 7 months. I noticed the same thing in Berlin.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

I would love a follow-up example.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. This pairs weirdly well with pasta.

I would push back gently on the monday part. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.
