A surprisingly useful lesson from the library after a tiny failure

I started this because my lunch break felt a little stuck, and watering seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 4 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. The 8-minute rule is underrated.

Fair pushback.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a neighborhood park.
