The thing nobody told me about film without making it complicated

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 9 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I tried this in Lisbon with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. directors got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

This has cozy competence written all over it. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. The social part surprised me too. That scene lives rent-free in my head.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.
