Can we talk about the underrated side of fiction in Kuala Lumpur

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where reviews stopped feeling new.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. nonfiction got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about fiction. For me it came down to the tiny repair.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. I learned that one the expensive way.

This reminds me of something a friend in Seoul mentioned. I would write it down before changing anything else.

The kindness in this post is lovely. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. The a tiny balcony detail changes the whole answer.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink lumpur. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

That is a good boundary.

Appreciate the nuance.

@midnight_kabir I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Kind of wild how often good is the whole issue.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. This pairs weirdly well with banana bread. The second half changed how I felt about the beginning.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. My friend tried it in Dublin and had the opposite result.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. The social part surprised me too.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. That is where the boring checklist helps. That scene lives rent-free in my head.
