Can we talk about the underrated side of languages in real life
I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and study seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 10 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

The side angle is what sold me. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. This pairs weirdly well with arepas.

That last line is excellent. A little friction removed goes a long way. The everyday customs are often the best part of travel.

That last line is excellent. I am curious whether speaking still feels good next month.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

What would you change if you started over? It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a family dinner.

This has cozy competence written all over it. I noticed the same thing in São Paulo.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. History gets easier to understand when you can place it on a street.

I had the same reaction to good.
