I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make History feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 9 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. The rainy evening version is even more interesting. History gets easier to understand when you can place it on a street.

I wish more posts had this much context. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error. I love details that only make sense once you've been there.

Great point, especially the part about made. The São Paulo example makes it feel concrete.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I learned that one the expensive way.
