I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. The the library detail changes the whole answer.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. The late summer version is even more interesting. The second half changed how I felt about the beginning.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing. Sound design deserves more credit.
