My 10-month experiment with investing in real life

a few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I started this becuase my quiet Sunday felt a little stuck, and saving seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

The detail that surprised me was how much the train station changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 2 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it

What would you change if you started over? I noticed the same thing in Jakarta

This feels like advice from a patient friend. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability

This reminds me of something a friend in Melbourne mentioned. My only addition is to make the first step visible

I do not have a strong take, but the life detail is useful. I would love to see a follow-up after 6 weeks. Good managers make this conversation so much less weird

This feels like advice from a patient friend. The a trailhead detail changes the whole answer. The spreadsheet should include the emotional cost too

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. My friend tried it in Nairobi and had the opposite result

Good reminder that boring can be good. I noticed the same thing in Toronto. Good managers make this conversation so much less weird

the boring logistics are always the hidden part. I learned that one the expensive way

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. My friend tried it in Warsaw and had the opposite result. The spreadsheet should include the emotional cost too

That last line is excellent. The my desk detail changes the whole answer

I laughed, but you are not wrong

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. A little friction removed goes a long way
