A gentle rant about chemistry and expectations after 5 tries
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where biology stopped feeling new.
I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and chemistry seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. The social part surprised me too.

Great point, especially the part about gentle. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the train station.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. I would test it for 6 days before deciding.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I would love to see a follow-up after 10 weeks.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

Honestly, great taste. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

That is a good question for people with more experience than me. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about gentle. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink chemistry. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. A little friction removed goes a long way.
