Can someone explain the practical difference between languages and the first draft with limited time?

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Learn a few local phrases and one apology phrase. People are usually generous when they see you trying. I am curious whether study still feels good next month.

Context matters here, so compare the local norm with your own constraints before deciding. If two options look equal, choose the one that is easier to reverse.

- Do ten minutes daily instead of one giant weekend session.
- Save phrases you actually want to say.
- Speak badly on purpose; fluency needs reps.
