What emulation looks like when you stop optimizing everything

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the routine for a while.

I tried this in Manila with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Big fan of this approach. My friend tried it in Cairo and had the opposite result.

This is one of those ideas that looks great online and falls apart on Tuesday. The social part surprised me too.
