A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made from my lunch break notes
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
The detail that surprised me was how much the corner shop changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the tiny repair for a while

Great point, especially the part about glad. The first week version is even more interesting. A small test case would make this easier to trust

I disagree a bit. notes matters but the bigger issue is usually expectations. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability

glad you shared it; small wins count. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability. The boring solution is probly the reliable one here

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I am curious whether architecture still feels good next month

I wish more posts had this much context. My friend tried it in Cape Town and had the opposite result

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. I keep a note about debugging for exactly this reason

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me
