A beginner mistake I am weirdly glad I made after a tiny failure

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. watering got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I started this because my rainy evening felt a little stuck, and houseplants seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

There is probably a middle ground here. This is more useful on a tired quiet Sunday than on a perfect day.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. It sounds small, but the tiny repair matters.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. This is more useful on a tired lunch break than on a perfect day.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.
