I changed one thing and suddenly science made sense in real life
I tried this in Cape Town with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. global got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make World Notes feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. This is more useful on a tired winter than on a perfect day. I love details that only make sense once you've been there.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. The Buenos Aires example makes it feel concrete.

This has cozy competence written all over it. I keep a note about culture for exactly this reason.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. The the library detail changes the whole answer. Local context changes everything.
