What are the red flags beginners miss in Gaming after a few failed attempts?

I tried this in São Paulo with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Gaming feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

Yes, but I would approach it in a small, testable way rather than trying to solve everything at once. You will learn more from a simple version repeated three times than from a perfect plan you never start.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

Hope this helps!

Come back with what happened; the details will make the next answer better.

Can you expand on that a bit?

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. The Nairobi example makes it feel concrete.

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply, keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. I would love to see a follow-up after 10 weeks.

There is probably a middle ground here. I would love to see a follow-up after 10 weeks.
