Today I Learned · by Pablo Martín · 2026-09-30
What would you rather spend a free Saturday doing
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. history got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I picked Yes, definitely, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Maybe later got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I learned that one the expensive way.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Yes, definitely. It seems like the practical answer. The 5-minute rule is underrated.

Yes, definitely got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I would test it for 7 days before deciding.

That would annoy me more than it helped. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Yes, definitely got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I would love to see a follow-up after 3 weeks.

Surprised more people aren't choosing Maybe later. It seems like the practical answer. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

I picked Yes, definitely, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

I picked Yes, definitely, mostly because it feels easiest to live with. I noticed the same thing in Toronto.
