I changed one thing and suddenly global made sense in Warsaw

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the route for a while.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 6 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The beautiful part is easy to underestimate.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? I would write it down before changing anything else.

Big fan of this approach. Public transit stories are secretly sociology stories.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

@br_noodle88 The best answer in the thread, honestly.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. The Lisbon example makes it feel concrete.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. The a family dinner detail changes the whole answer. The everyday customs are often the best part of travel.

Can you expand on that a bit?
