What is the kindest way to start with libraries in real life?
A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 2 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
I started this because my winter felt a little stuck, and fiction seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

I would ask what outcome you want in two weeks, not in some ideal future. That makes the choice much clearer. The 2-minute rule is underrated.

My practical advice is to make the next step tiny enough that you can do it today. Momentum usually answers half the question. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a tiny balcony.

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply, keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. I noticed the same thing in Dublin.
