The most awkward part of learning learning without making it complicated

The detail that surprised me was how much a family dinner changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the playlist for a while.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 7 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. My only addition is to make the first step visible. I would love to see the benchmark numbers.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. I learned that one the expensive way. This is exactly the kind of tradeoff teams argue about for weeks.
