What I wish I knew before trying biography that actually stuck

I tried this in Warsaw with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make History feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I am curious whether ancient still feels good next month. Public transit stories are secretly sociology stories.

Exactly; the hidden cost is energy.

Could be regional too.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. The late summer version is even more interesting.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option. I would love to see a follow-up after 4 weeks. Local context changes everything.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I would write it down before changing anything else.
