My 9-month experiment with marathon after a tiny failure
I started this because my busy month felt a little stuck, and shoes seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 5 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me.

This has cozy competence written all over it. It sounds small, but the routine matters.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

I am curious what changed your mind.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. I noticed the same thing in Lagos.

I do not have a strong take, but the marathon detail is useful. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

Honestly, this is a little too vague to be useful. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

This is the kind of disagreement I like.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. For me it came down to the practice run.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. The social part surprised me too.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. People underestimate how much sleep changes the answer.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

I am cheering for this update. For me it came down to the setup.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? The 9-minute rule is underrated.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. I would love to see a follow-up after 7 weeks.
