What I wish I knew before trying care for absolute beginners

I started this because my busy month felt a little stuck, and dogs seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where care stopped feeling new.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

The boring logistics are always the hidden part. This pairs weirdly well with tacos.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. That is where the boring checklist helps. Glad you shared the messy version too.

I had the same reaction to consistency.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. That is where the boring checklist helps. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. The 8-minute rule is underrated.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? This is more useful on a tired weekend than on a perfect day.

I would pin this if I could.

I would love a follow-up example.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? This pairs weirdly well with pierogi.
