What I wish I knew before trying care for absolute beginners
I started this becuase my busy month felt a little stuck, and dogs seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where care stopped feeling new.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 5 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it

the boring logistics are always the hidden part. This pairs weirdly well with tacos

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. That is where the boring checklist helps. Glad you shared the messy version too

I had the same reaction to consistency

fair point, but I had the opposite experience. That is where the boring checklist helps. The follow-through matters more then the perfect plan

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. The 8-minute rule is underrated

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? This is more useful on a tired weekend than on a perfect day
