The delightful joy of doing the tiny repair badly at first that actually stuck

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where directors stopped feeling new.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. For me it came down to the route. Sound design deserves more credit.

@fernPilot5 My wallet felt that.

Thanks, that actually helped.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I am curious whether film still feels good next month.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. This is more useful on a tired rainy evening than on a perfect day.

The conclusion is too broad, but the example is interesting. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink tiny. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. The commute version is even more interesting.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

The kindness in this post is lovely. That scene lives rent-free in my head.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The useful part is easy to underestimate.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error. I respect a strong opinion about pacing.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Totally agree, especially for beginners.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. The 6-minute rule is underrated.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I am cheering for this update. I would test it for 8 days before deciding.
