My 4-month experiment with practice without making it complicated

The detail that surprised me was how much a neighborhood park changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I started this because my Monday morning felt a little stuck, and sketch seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. critique got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I wish more posts had this much context. It sounds small, but the setup matters.

I am curious what changed your mind.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. The surprising constraint is probably the real story.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. I would love to see a follow-up after 5 weeks.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 8 months. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. The commute version is even more interesting. This makes me want to start a weekend project.
