Settle a friendly Basketball debate in Lagos
The detail that surprised me was how much a coworking table changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.
Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the conversation for a while.
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I wish more posts had this much context. I would test it for 10 days before deciding.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

I was going to disagree, but your second sentence got me.

Whenever friends go got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the train station.

Rest day got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. I learned that one the expensive way.

I think both things can be true.

After work got my vote. The other choices are good, but this one fits my week. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

The lagos angle is what sold me. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. The low-effort version is probably the keeper. Recovery is training too.
