Can we talk about the underrated side of photos for absolute beginners

I tried this in Seoul with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Do you think this would work in a smaller place than Manila? The late summer version is even more interesting. Glad you shared the messy version too.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. I keep a note about dogs for exactly this reason.

I laughed, but you are not wrong.

Honestly, great taste. The social part surprised me too. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.

Thanks, that actually helped.

The best answer in the thread, honestly.

@gb_river99 My wallet felt that.

I would pin this if I could.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. That is where the boring checklist helps. Glad you shared the messy version too.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

I wanted to like this, but the absolute argument is weak. My friend tried it in São Paulo and had the opposite result.

I found this disappointing because it skips the hardest part. I learned that one the expensive way.

@paper_fern54 I like this more than the top-level advice.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether underrated stayed easy. That is the kind of detail beginners miss. Small progress still counts.

Great point, especially the part about photos. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

I needed the reminder to start smaller.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare.

That last line is excellent. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I like the idea, but the setup probably matters a lot. It sounds small, but the recipe matters.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. I would love to see a follow-up after 5 weeks. The follow-through matters more than the perfect plan.
