Notes from a very normal first week with Baking from my busy month notes

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I tried this in Lisbon with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. For me it came down to the tiny repair.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. The messy constraint is probably the real story. Texture is doing a lot of work here.

I had the same reaction to work.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. I would absolutely hover near the kitchen for this.

This is the kind of useful internet I still show up for. This is the kind of thing that tastes better the next day.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 6 months. My friend tried it in Berlin and had the opposite result.

This sounds sensible, though I would need to test it myself.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. Honestly, the simplest version wins for me. A squeeze of lemon would probably wake it up.

You explained the tradeoff really clearly. The Buenos Aires example makes it feel concrete.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. The gentle part is easy to underestimate.
