A tiny story about sourdough, Warsaw and timing after a tiny failure

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where evidence stopped feeling new.

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

I started this because my weekend felt a little stuck, and evidence seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

I am saving this for the next time I overthink sourdough. I am curious whether evidence still feels good next month.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. The Cape Town example makes it feel concrete.

Helpful correction.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. This would be a great classroom example.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. A little friction removed goes a long way.

I am stealing that phrase.

I would pin this if I could.

Excellent timing; I was just thinking about failure. That is where the boring checklist helps.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. The quiet part is easy to underestimate.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The busy month version is even more interesting.

Small caveat: context changes the answer a lot.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

That is a much better way to say it.

The best answer in the thread, honestly.

@fr_orbit I needed the reminder to start smaller.

That is a good boundary.

Helpful and not preachy, which is rare. The Monday morning version is even more interesting.

That last line is excellent. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. My only addition is to make the first step visible.

This depends heavily on budget, time and personality. I would test it for 10 days before deciding. Nature keeps being stranger than the simplified diagram.
