The thing nobody told me about film from my desk

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 9 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. reviews got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 7 months. I learned that one the expensive way.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

Anecdote beats theory here.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. The a family dinner detail changes the whole answer.

Respectfully, I see it the other way.

This comment has main-character footnote energy.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Fair point, but I had the opposite experience. This pairs weirdly well with pierogi.

There is probably a middle ground here. It sounds small, but the setup matters.
