The surprising joy of doing the conversation badly at first from my late summer notes

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 4 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

I tried this in Lagos with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. jobs got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

This reminds me of something a friend in Lisbon mentioned. I used to overcomplicate this constantly. Good managers make this conversation so much less weird.

Appreciate the nuance.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.
