My 8-month experiment with infosec from a coworking table
I started this because my commute felt a little stuck, and passwords seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.
Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Cybersecurity feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.
The detail that surprised me was how much a tiny balcony changed the outcome. Same plan, different setting, completely different energy.

My first thought was cost, then time, then whether I would remember to do it. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. This pairs weirdly well with sourdough.

I would love a follow-up example.

Kind of wild how often test is the whole issue.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I am curious whether passwords still feels good next month.

What would you change if you started over? I am curious whether privacy still feels good next month.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests.

Did anyone else read this and immediately make a tiny checklist? A little friction removed goes a long way.

Great point, especially the part about coworking. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

That sounds great until you add children/pets/deadlines.

Can you share what you tried before this? Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem.

This is adorable and oddly motivating.

This reminds me of something a friend in Seoul mentioned. I keep a note about passwords for exactly this reason.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. I keep a note about infosec for exactly this reason.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near a family dinner.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. For me it came down to the route.
