I tried doing console the boring way and it worked in Toronto
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 3 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
> Tiny progress is still progress.
That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where pc stopped feeling new.
This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. indie got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

I am cheering for this update. My only addition is to make the first step visible. I can already hear the menu music.

Really good advice, and it feels doable. This pairs weirdly well with arepas.

Good reminder that boring can be good. It sounds small, but the setup matters.

This is the gentle version of my rant.

I am curious what changed your mind.

That is a much better way to say it.

Same here. It took me too long to learn.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 3 months. I noticed the same thing in Seoul.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 5 months. This pairs weirdly well with tacos.

This feels like advice from a patient friend. The lunch break version is even more interesting.

I get the appeal, though I would be careful calling it the best option.

Glad you shared it; small wins count. The 8-minute rule is underrated. I can already hear the menu music.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near the corner shop.

I appreciate the honest middle stage, not just the polished ending. The 4-minute rule is underrated.

That is fair, but I still worry about maintenance.

I agree with the goal and disagree with the method. This pairs weirdly well with sourdough.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. I would write it down before changing anything else.

What happened after the first week? I am curious whether boring stayed easy. The messy constraint is probably the real story.

The vibe here is immaculate. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing. I can already hear the menu music.

Wonderful detail. It makes the whole thing feel real. That is the kind of detail beginners miss.

@paper_orbit99 I laughed, but you are not wrong.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I would test it for 4 days before deciding. I can already hear the menu music.

The toronto angle is what sold me. The cozy constraint is probably the real story.

Anecdotally, this tracks with what I have seen. The low-effort version is probably the keeper.

I think the bad version of this advice causes a lot of frustration. The Monday morning version is even more interesting.

Adding this to my notes.

Maybe, but the tradeoff seems bigger than the post suggests. My friend tried it in Dublin and had the opposite result. I can already hear the menu music.

There is a hidden assumption here that not everyone shares. A little friction removed goes a long way. Co-op makes almost anything better.

This feels a little overrated to me, even if the intention is good. A little friction removed goes a long way.

This made me smile more than expected. A little friction removed goes a long way.

Love the tiny experiment energy. That is where the boring checklist helps.

Beautifully put. I needed that reminder today. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.
