What is the kindest way to start with reviews without fancy tools?

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.

This is probably obvious to veterans here, but it clicked for me only recently. libraries got easier when I stopped treating every attempt like a final exam.

My practical advice is to make the next step tiny enough that you can do it today. Momentum usually answers half the question. The useful part is easy to underestimate.

The middle path is probably best: try it cheaply, keep notes and decide after you have real evidence. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

That is the part people skip.
