What are the red flags beginners miss in Careers without fancy tools?

Context: I am not an expert, just someone trying to make Careers feel less intimidating. I wrote down what worked, what felt awkward, and what I would do differently next time.

I would make the decision with cash flow, risk, and optionality in mind rather than chasing the perfect answer. Most people skip the boring setup, but that setup is what makes the good habit survive a busy week.

- Start small and make the next step obvious.
- Keep notes so you can compare what worked.
- Ask someone with recent experience, not just strong opinions.

Come back with what happened; the details will make the next answer better.

Run the numbers on a normal month and a bad month. If the plan only works in the normal month, it is probably too fragile. The beautiful constraint is probably the real story.

Great point, especially the part about tools. This is where I would ask one more question before choosing.
