A tiny win from Istanbul that made my week on a budget
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 7 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
My current rule is simple: if it takes less than 3 minutes to prepare, I am much more likely to keep doing it.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 2 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Honestly, great taste. I noticed the same thing in Melbourne. I can already hear the menu music.

I wonder how much of this depends on timing. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Agree completely. The simple version is underrated. I would write it down before changing anything else. I can already hear the menu music.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I noticed the same thing in Cape Town.

That is a surprisingly elegant way to frame it. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.
