A tiny win from Manila that made my week
I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.
I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 4 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.
I started this because my winter felt a little stuck, and dogs seemed like a manageable place to experiment. The funny part is that the smallest change was the one I kept.

Honestly, great taste. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. I learned that one the expensive way. People underestimate how much sleep changes the answer.

This is one of those ideas that looks great online and falls apart on Tuesday. It reminds me of a very specific conversation near my desk.

@aminamakes Can you expand on that a bit?

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. A little friction removed goes a long way.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. I noticed the same thing in São Paulo.

I would not call it wrong, just incomplete. This is more useful on a tired busy month than on a perfect day. Glad you shared the messy version too.

The context helps. Without it I would have assumed the opposite. I am curious whether dogs still feels good next month. People underestimate how much sleep changes the answer.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. I would write it down before changing anything else.

Short answer: yes. Long answer: also yes.

Kind of wild how often pretending is the whole issue.

I like this more than the top-level advice.

This reminds me of something a friend in Istanbul mentioned. My friend tried it in Nairobi and had the opposite result.
