My favorite low-effort upgrade for machinelearning from my rainy evening notes

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where machinelearning stopped feeling new.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

I had a disappointing first try, a surprisingly good second try, and then a third attempt that taught me humility. So, naturally, I now have opinions.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

Great point, especially the part about notes. I used to overcomplicate this constantly.

Good reminder that boring can be good. My only addition is to make the first step visible. Naming things remains undefeated as the hardest problem.

Amazing how much difference one small change can make. The social part surprised me too. Good reminder that tools should serve people, not the reverse.

I love this. It feels practical without pretending life is neat. This pairs weirdly well with lentil soup.

That is the part people skip.

Good clarification — I read it differently at first.

This is adorable and oddly motivating. I would write it down before changing anything else.

I think both things can be true.

Interesting. I would like to see how it changes after 2 months.

I disagree a bit. rainy matters, but the bigger issue is usually expectations. This would have saved me a lot of trial and error.

@brave_rider94 That is a much better way to say it.

This is useful for some cases, but terrible advice if the stakes are high. The a neighborhood park detail changes the whole answer.
