I finally understand why Board Games people care about cards on a budget

Would love to hear how other people handle this. I am especially curious about the version that works on a tired weekday, not just on an ideal Sunday.

> Tiny progress is still progress.

That line sounds cheesy, but it got me through the part where reviews stopped feeling new.

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 4 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

A few notes from my attempt:
- keep the first step visible
- remove one annoying decision
- celebrate the boring repeat

This is genuinely helpful, thanks for writing it out. That is where the boring checklist helps. Backlog guilt is a shared cultural experience.

I am mostly here for the follow-up. My friend tried it in Dublin and had the opposite result.

What would you change if you started over? I learned that one the expensive way.
