The thing nobody told me about advice from my Monday morning notes

I know this is a tiny sample size, but after 10 attempts the pattern is pretty clear. When I keep the setup simple, I actually follow through.

Part of me wanted the fancy version with all the tools. The better version was boring: one notebook, one reminder, and a willingness to be clumsy with the route for a while.

I tried this in Cairo with a friend and we both noticed the same thing: the social part mattered more than the perfect plan.

Great point, especially the part about morning. I care less about the perfect answer and more about repeatability.

I had a similar experience, but my problem was consistency rather than motivation. I would test it for 5 days before deciding. People underestimate how much sleep changes the answer.

Good reminder that boring can be good. The useful part is easy to underestimate.
